Agder Energi's very latest power station is fed by the new reservoir at Sarvsjuvet in Bykle.

Skarg power station is situated in Bykle Municipality in Aust-Agder. The municipality has a population of 948, and covers an area of 1,467 km², approximately 14% of which is water.

The power station building is roughly equivalent in size to a ten-storey block of flats, and in spite of the fact that over half of the structure is below ground level, it has still become a local landmark.

The power station is very close to the village of Bykle.

Skarg power station supplies 69 GWh to Agder Energi per year, equivalent to 0.84% of the 8200 GWh generated by the group in an average year.
This makes Skarg power station the 27th biggest power station in the Agder Energi group.
