Duge power station

Duge power station receives water from the Svartevatn reservoir at the top of Sira river system, on the border between Sirdal and Forsand municipalities.

Duge power station is situated in Forsand Municipality in Rogaland. The municipality has a population of 1 242, and covers an area of 780 km², approximately 10% of which is water.

The power station makes use of the 215-metre height difference between Svartevatn reservoir and Lake Gravatn.

Svartevatn is dammed to an elevation of between 899 and 780 m a.s.l.

Every second runs the 106m³ water through the plant. Enough to fill 10.6 ten-liter buckets of water every hundredth of a second.

Power producting:

Duge power station supplies 29 GWh to Agder Energi per year, equivalent to 0.35% of the 8200 GWh generated by the group in an average year.
This makes Duge power station the 33th biggest power station in the Agder Energi group.
