Finance strategy

The Agder Energi group funds its activities through cash from operations and by borrowing in credit markets.
Agder Energi AS is the parent company of the group, and acts as the loan issuer. Pari passu and negative pledge clauses ensure equal treatment of all lenders. The loan agreements place limits on borrowing by subsidiaries. Most debt financing is obtained through the Norwegian market for bonds and commercial paper, but the group also makes use of other available credit markets. Bonds are listed on Oslo Børs. Most loans are NOK-denominated, but some are in euros, to offset the euro revenues of the electricity generation business. The group’s aim is to have a long-term shadow rating of at least BBB+.
The Group has a total of NOK 1 billion in unused credit facilities, which provide a liquidity buffer and guarantee its ability to finance its operations.
