Agder Energi’s vision is to be a leading supplier of green energy solutions.

The group’s activities comprise production, distribution and sale of energy and energy-related services and the development and operation of the fibreoptic network. Agder Energi operates primarily in the south of Norway. Its head office is in Kristiansand.

Staff and organisation Agder Energi is expanding its operations in all of the group’s business areas. We will therefore need a number of new employees in the future. As well as recruiting experienced professionals who are motivated to work for Agder Energi, the companies in the group also take on many newly qualified and motivated people.

Agder Energi Akademiet plays a central role in further development and skills enhancement throughout the group.

‘Ung i Agder Energi’ (Young at Agder Energi) aims to establish a specific arena for younger employees to create contact and solidarity across companies, geographical affiliation and professional backgrounds.

Research and development Agder Energi participates in several R&D projects and contributes actively to enhance relevant skills environments in the region. The group’s involvement in the development of new operations takes place via targeted involvement in innovation and venture activities.

The objective is to create long-term industrial options for future growth for the group. In 2008, Agder Energi took the initiative, with the University of Agder and several local businesses, to participate in a national competition to establish a research centre for offshore wind power. NORCOWE (Norwegian Center for Offshore Wind Energy) is one of eight centres which, in February 2009, were awarded public research funds and the status of national research centre for green energy.
